Crime of the Truest Kind

REPLAY: EP6 | In Loving Memory: Leeann Millius & Kim Farrah, Murders at Hedgehog Pond, Salem, NH

Anngelle Wood Media Season 2

In honor of the 25th anniversary of the murders of Leeann Millius and Kim Farrah - murdered on September 13, 1997 at a public pond in Salem, NH. Their story stayed with because I was just like them. I was a teenager in Southern New Hampshire who did all the same kind of things they did. I think of them often and wish their families peace on these painful occasions.
Please think of them as you go about your day. They’ve been gone longer than they lived. They should be here.

Two young women whose murders were planned by a group of boys they'd befriended weeks earlier. This is an early episode of the podcast, my understanding and approach to true crime has changed greatly due in large part their story. Every story I research and cover stays with me. A family member of one of the girls reached out to me after this episode aired and it left a lasting impression. These are real stories about real people, real people who have no choice but live with these crimes.

I remember you, Kim and Leeann.

.. .. ..
In the early morning hours of September 13, 1997, the bodies of Leeann Millius and Kim Farrah were discovered by a woman walking her dog at Hedgehog Pond Park, a popular summer hangout spot for residents in and around Salem, New Hampshire. The lives of two young women were cut short by a group of supposed friends with a sinister plan.
